My choice of media is an intentional and deliberate decision. The simplicity of materials, clean lines, stark shapes, tedious, and repetitive action of cutting, carving, or sewing are a meditation and a prayer. I seek to whittle the essence of the image down to intimate, poetic observations about humanity. The images are also intended to encourage socially-minded introspection.
